UVI Campuses to Re-Open for Regular Hours on Friday, July 31st Following TS Isaias

Both University of the Virgin Islands' campuses will re-open for regular office hours following the passage of Tropical Storm Isaias. University nonessential employees are asked to report on Friday, July 31st based on COVID-19 protocols and scheduling already in place. ­­

Essential employees on the St. Thomas Campus possessing a curfew pass are asked to report today for regularly scheduled hours. Essential employees on the Albert A. Sheen Campus are asked to report today at 1pm.


The UVI community is asked to monitor University communications. Status updates will be available on the homepage of the UVI website, www.uvi.edu and on social media: www.facebook.com/uvi.edutwitter.com/uvi_edu and instagram.com/uvi_edu. Please call campus hotlines at (340) 693-1016 or (340) 692-4168 for updates as well.

Information on steps to prepare for inclement weather can be found on UVI’s Emergency Preparedness webpage via this direct link: Emergency Preparedness.  All UVI students and employees are encouraged to sign-up for UVI Bucs Alerts emergency messages, which is used to share critical information via text messages and e-mail. Participants can simply add their cell phone numbers and e-mail addresses to the “Personal Information” page in UVI’s BanWeb accounts.
