Mission
Consistent with the mission of the University of the Virgin Islands, CLASS seeks to produce students who are self-directed problem solvers with the ability to apply critical thinking to the study of the various disciplines. CLASS is dedicated to assisting students in attaining academic distinction and fulfilling careers through our programs, by stimulating them culturally, mentally and physically through our impactful course offerings, campus events and study abroad programs.
CLASS offers degrees in Communication, Criminal Justice, English, Humanities, Music Education, Psychology, Public Administration, Social Sciences, Social work, and Spanish. The College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences also houses the Virgin Islands Writing Project (funded jointly by the National Writing Project); the Senior Reserve Officer’s Training Corp; The Caribbean Writer, The Virgin Islands Caribbean Cultural Center , The Office of Self Determination and Constitutional Development and...
