The University of the Virgin Islands will be the place to be during the first week of April for anyone interested in a career in law enforcement or in attending law school. Recruitment fairs for law enforcement and law school are slated for April 3 and 5, respectively, on the St. Thomas campus. Both fairs will be offered on April 4 on the Albert A. Sheen Campus on St. Croix.
Organizers said more than 500 persons passed through the doors at UVI for last year's law enforcement and law school fairs.
The fairs will provide any interested persons - not just recent high school or college graduates - a chance to meet professionals in the various fields and discuss employment opportunities.
Careers in law enforcement provide excellent pay and benefits, and encompass a wide variety of positions for persons with educational or professional backgrounds in criminology, criminal justice, political science, psychology, social work, IT, engineering, and other liberal arts and science disciplines.
Those interested in attending law school will have the chance to learn about the possibilities from recruiters representing 11 top schools.
