The University of the Virgin Islands (UVI) invites members of the media to cover and photograph a special musical event honoring the life and legacy of the late Dr. Athneil “Addie” Ottley. The Blue Horizon Concert will take place at 4 p.m. on Sunday, April 24, on the Reichhold Center’s lawn on the University’s Orville E. Kean Campus on St Thomas.
This free musical event is open to the public and will feature performances by Dion Parson and Friends, the UVI Jazz Ensemble, Lorna Freeman, Stanley and the Ten Sleepless Knights and Cool Sessions.
In addition to celebrating Addie’s life, UVI will accept donations for the Addie Ottley Community Service Scholarship Fund, which will support programs for UVI students pursuing studies in communication.
All patrons arestronglyencouraged to wear masks. To gain entry to the event please present your vaccination card or present a negative COVID-19 test 24 to 48 hours prior to the concert.
