The University of the Virgin Islands announces that classes and offices are tentatively set to open on Wednesday, Sept. 25.  As the Territory is expected to receive rainfall from Tropical Storm Karen on Tuesday evening, the University will provide an update at about 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday to give a final determination as to whether offices and classes will be open.

The UVI community is asked to monitor UVI communications. Status updates will be available on the homepage of the UVI website, www.uvi.edu , campus hotlines, and on social media: www.facebook.com/uvi.edutwitter.com/uvi_edu and instagram.com/uvi_edu.

The University community is asked to follow the emergency response plan.  Information on steps to prepare for inclement weather can be found on UVI’s Emergency Preparedness webpage, which can be found on the bottom of the www.uvi.edu homepage or via this direct link: Emergency Preparedness.
