Members of the media are invited to cover and photograph the Virgin Islands University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities (VIUCEDD) grand opening of its Autism and Developmental Disabilities Research Center (ADDRC) from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on April 15, at the VIUCEDD Center on the Albert A. Sheen Campus on St. Croix.
The ADDRC is a research, training and technical assistance center that focuses on early screening and detection of developmental disabilities. It provides the best practices for early intervention, treatment, language development and the development of adaptive behaviors in infants and toddlers, aged zero-five.
The general public is invited to attend the opening and gather pertinent information about the clinic, which will partner with the community to provide screening, assessment and treatment.
