The fifth annual Virgin Islands' Woodworkers' Expo - featuring works by members of the St. Thomas/St. John Woodworkers Society and the St. Croix Wood Artist, Inc. group - will offer sessions on St. Thomas and St. John in December.
The first session takes place at the Sports & Fitness Center on UVI's St. Thomas campus from Dec. 3 to 5. The Expo runs from 1 to 5:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 3, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 4, and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 5.
The St. John Expo will be held at the Market Place, from Dec. 10 to 12. It will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day.
The Woodworkers' Expo is the ideal place to purchase holiday gifts. Individuals who are not members of these groups involved are also afforded a chance to exhibit and sell locally made wood products by applying for space through the UVI Cooperative Extension Service office on St. Thomas. Cost for space is $50 per day. For details, contact Carlos Robles at (340) 693-1080.
The Woodworkers' Expo is sponsored by UVI Cooperative Extension Service in partnership with the V.I. Council on the Arts and the National Endowment for the Arts, the V.I. Department of Tourism, and the West Indian Company, Ltd.
