Dr. Mary Ann LaFleur, director of the Office of Institutional Research and Planning, presented the Key Performance Indicators. The number of full-time faculty at UVI holding terminal degrees increased over last year, while the number of tenured faculty declined by 3 percent. Full-time faculty slightly increased, while the number of part-time faculty declined. UVI salaries compare favorably with national salaries at peer institutions for 2007, La Fleur said.
Annual giving increased 104 percent this year over last year, due in part to a rise in cash gifts and gifts-in-kind. Alumni contributions declined 17 percent. For the first time, 100 percent of UVI's Trustees contributed to the Annual Fund, increasing Trustee giving 37 percent.
