People Using Language Skills Effectively

UVI-PULSE, formerly The PULSE Institute, is a component of the Center for the Study of Spirituality and Professionalism at the University of the Virgin Islands. It was established in 2002 by Dr. Nancy Love to help People Use Language Skills Effectively and improve the relationships around them. This program identifies a simple and effective framework that can be used to guide any conversation and provides participants with the structure and skills needed for managing social exchange.

At UVI- PULSE we coach individuals, develop leadership capacity, deliver keynote addresses, and provide valuable resources such as books, articles, webinars, and online courses for your convenience. Whether participants are looking for a new approach to conversations or a more in-depth conflict resolution experience, UVI-PULSE will offer a complete catalog of original and customizable content. We offer courses to individuals and organizations local to the US Virgin Islands, the Caribbean, and around the world through a continuous curriculum including the Certified PULSE Professional program.

UVI-PULSE:

• resolve disputes at home and in the workplace;

• help create a peaceful and productive work environment for employees who have unresolved conflicts;

• help people speak and listen to others differently to have more satisfying and effective conversations; and

What is PULSE? PULSE is a frame for Conversations for Change.
