The Certificate Program in Management Consulting provides an in-depth investigation and study of the practice of management consulting. Program participants will earn a UVI Certificate in Management Consulting and the knowledge and skills to become a high-impact external or internal consultant.
Based on the Institute of Management Consultants (IMC) USA proprietary Management Consulting Competency Framework, this program prepares participants to deliver high-impact, ethical Management Consulting service as internal or external consultants or helps executives obtain more value from consultants they may hire.
This course is appropriate for graduate students or executives new to or considering a career in the consulting profession, consultants in one area of expertise (banking, IT, accounting, legal, etc.) or internal consultants seeking a wider set of skills, or veteran consultants who want to “sharpen their swords.”
This is an introductory course on management consulting principles, tools, and practice fundamentals. It focuses on understanding the management consulting profession, consulting practice, the ethics of consulting and the consultant/client relationship.
