A workshop on the English Proficiency Exam will be held from 12:15 p.m. to 1:15 p.m. on Tuesday, March 31, in the Center for Student Success Learning Center in Classroom Administration Building room 101. Workshop facilitator, Dr. Vincent Cooper, will explain the exam format and grading rubric. He will also demonstrate various strategies for formulating thesis statements, developing outlines and constructing paragraphs under examination conditions. General test-taking strategies and tips will be discussed as a part of the workshop. The UVI Center for Student Success and the UVI English Department have collaborated to host the workshop.
