The UVI Substance Abuse and HIV/AIDS Prevention Program, UVI Counseling and Career Services Office and UVI Student Government Association will hold a series of events on Tuesday, April 7, in recognition of Alcohol Abuse Awareness Month and Mental Health Promotion Awareness Month.
The activities include:
- An anonymous and confidential online alcohol screening from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the UVI Sports and Fitness Center on the St. Thomas Campus.
- A non-alcoholic, signature drink competition for UVI clubs and organizations from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the UVI Sports and Fitness Center on the St. Thomas Campus. Students are encouraged to come out, sample and vote for their favorite drinks.
- A presentation on the topic “Which Comes First: Substance Abuse or Mental Illness” to be held from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in the Neil Weiss Conference Hall Room.
