The UVI Information and Technology Services (ITS) Component in the Ralph Paiewonsky Library, in collaboration with UVI Campus Police and Security, will hold an active shooter drill on Monday, April 6. Both audible and online emergency alerts will be activated. Persons in the targeted area will be required to evacuate to the Bookstore parking lot, as directed.
The drill is designed to prepare UVI staff for handling emergency procedures in the event of a disaster. The UVI Security office is working with ITS staff to provide training in advance of the activity. Listen for the emergency alerts, on Monday, April 6, but remember that it is only a drill.
