UVI’s Freshman Studies Classes will host the second International Day of Peace observance from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Friday Sept. 19, in Evans Center Room 401 on the Albert A. Sheen Campus on St. Croix. United States Magistrate Judge George Cannon will be the keynote speaker alongside other notable UVI faculty and staff. Additional workshops will follow in classrooms from 11 a.m. to noon. This event has grown out of the need to address and diminish violence in the Virgin Islands.
