UVI President Dr. David Hall invites the entire University community (faculty, students and staff) to join in a Town Hall Meeting to discuss UVINext. The meeting is scheduled from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 12. UVI faculty, staff and students are encouraged to attend to learn more about the UVINext process and recommendations. Dr. Hall will make a presentation from the first floor conference room of Administration and Conference Center on the St. Thomas Campus, with videoconference to several locations. His presentation will be followed by a question and answer period.
What is UVINext?
At the request of the Board of Trustees, the UVINext process was an important undertaking, among other things, to better understand the impacts, costs and revenues generated by each program and service. At the Board of Trustees June 2014 meeting, they approved recommendations that were the result of the systematic review of all academic programs and administrative services. Those recommendations are aimed at maximizing the efficiencies of the University, prioritizing programs, and generating savings through the elimination, merger or redesign of existing programs so that identified resources can be used for salary increases for staff and faculty.
The UVINext Town Hall meeting will be teleconference to the following locations:
St. Thomas
• Neil Weiss Education Suite classroom, West Hall
St. Croix
• Melvin Evans Center Building, EVC 401
• Research and Technology Park classroom, RTP129
St. John
