Students, alumni, faculty and staff from the University of the Virgin Islands often participate in exciting opportunities to help make our communities a better place to live. During the Summer of 2015, UVI organized several community service projects where employees and students had the opportunity to participate in community outreach projects:
In alignment with the University’s mission and prestigious Carnegie Foundation community engagement designation, we helped make the places and people around us better by pausing from our daily routines and planting some seeds of love, generosity and inspiration. We plan to implement more community service projects in the future. If you are aware of other worthy community organizations and projects that we should consider assisting in the future, please let Ms. Una Dyer (udyer@uvi.edu or 693-1000) know about your suggestions. For more information about these community service projects, contact Ms. Una Dyer or Ms. Nereida Washington.
