Black History Month Activities 
 Black History Month activities at UVI include mini-parades, historical and cultural tours, documentary showings and so much more. 

Afternoon on the Green 
 Afternoon on the Green is the University’s annual ‘friend-raiser’ where local chefs donate dishes for community supporters to indulge and sample. The family fun takes place on the University’s golf course and offers an array of culinary dishes and cultural entertainment.

Man Up Conference 
 The Man Up Conference is a part of the University's Male Empowerment Initiative, with the goal of attracting more males to the University and providing them with the tools and support to help them graduate. 

Charter Day 
 Charter Day is set for March 16 every year and typically includes a formal ceremony with a guest speaker, student presentations, and remarks from the University president.  Charter Month includes University events and programs that encourage students, alumni and employees to show their UVI Pride. #UVIPride

Queen Mary Walk/Run 
The Queen Mary 5K Walk/Run is an annual event hosted by the University and organized by the Virgin Islands Pace Runners. Participants walk or run from Sunshine Mall to the Albert A. Sheen Campus on St. Croix.  The event is held as part of Virgin Islands History Month and UVI Pride celebrations.  

Miss UVI 
The Miss University of the Virgin Islands Ambassadorial Competition, sponsored by the Queen’s committee of SGA, seeks to find a young, vibrant goodwill ambassador for the University. The winner receives a scholarship that covers tuition, lodging and meals.  Miss UVI is expected to participate in UVI's recruitment efforts, represent the University locally and abroad, and maintain a highly visible role on UVI's campuses on St. Croix and St. Thomas.

Student Employee Appreciation Week
 Sponsored by student affairs, students engage in workshops, contests, and down-time activities with coworkers. The week’s activities culminates with an awards ceremony to honor those that exceed their supervisor's expectations.

Alfred O. Heath Lecture Series 
 This lecture series offers the public a setting in which to hear nationally and internationally recognized individuals discuss issues related to the challenges and opportunities faced by the global community. The lecture series serves as a tribute to Dr. Alfred Heath, a UVI trustee emeritus and chair of the Foundation for the University of the Virgin Islands. 

Annual Academic Achievement Awards 
 The Annual Academic Achievement Awards, sponsored by the Office of the Provost, recognizes students who have earned a 3.2 GPA for the previous semester, with no grade lower than C. 

St. Thomas Carnival 
Carnival in St. Thomas is a month long event that showcases an array of cultural foods, costumes, and music. Carnival season is kicked off with a variety of pageants, queen selections, calypso competitions, and other forms of entertainment. UVI students, alumni and employees typically participate in St. Thomas Carnival by organizing a troupe and/or float in one of the parades.  

New Student Orientation 
 New Student Orientation serves as the University's official welcome to new freshmen and transfer students. Orientation ensures that students are successfully transitioned to UVI. 

Fall Fest 
Fall Fest consists of a Career Fair, Health and Wellness Fair and a Student Activities Fair. The Career Fair provides an opportunity for students to obtain expert advice & information about career paths, gather marketable career development and career search tools, and establish contacts with industry professionals for future mentoring, internships and employment opportunities.  To stress the importance of physical and mental health and wellness, the Health and Wellness Fair is designed to provide preventive health screenings and health awareness information. The Student Activities Fair heightens students’ awareness of the clubs and organizations on campus and encourage their participation.

Agriculture and Food Fair
The Agriculture Fair highlights local plants and foods while showcasing cultural and agricultural exhibits.

Paradise Jam 
Paradise Jam is a pre-season collegiate basketball tournament that take place at the University’s Sports and Fitness Center located on the St. Thomas campus. During Thanksgiving weekend, Division I teams from college campuses across the nation come to the fine tune their skills and while having some fun in the sun. 

Mango Melee and Tropical Fruit Festival 
 The annual Mango Melee and Tropical Fruit Festival is the premiere summer event that helps to foster appreciation for the tropical fruits especially the "Queen of the tropical fruits," the mango. It is hosted at the St. George's Botanical Garden, a 16-acre estate showcasing over 1,500 native and exotic plant species. Mango Melee offers educational workshops, demonstrations, tastings, vendors, and fun for the entire family.
