The University of the Virgin Islands will celebrate UVI Pride Day throughout the territory on Friday, March 28. UVI boasts more than 8,000 alumni, with approximately 65 percent of those alumni living in the territory. UVI Pride Day is being held in celebration of Charter Month as a way to recognize UVI alumni, and for the community to show support for the only institution of higher learning in the territory.

As part of UVI Pride Day, President Hall, members of his administration and UVI students will host a “Pride Rally” at various high schools throughout the territory. There they will meet with UVI alumni working at the schools, engage seniors and present awards.

Schedule

• 7:30am - St. Croix Educational Complex
• 8:30am - Central High School at UVI Great Hall
• 11:30am - Charlotte Amalie High School
• 1:30pm - Ivanna Eudora Kean High School
