Virgin Islands Caribbean Cultural Center (VICCC) in collaboration with Ali Consulting, LLC are hosting the 3rd Annual VI Youth Conference from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday, March 1, 2019, on the University’s Albert A. Sheen Campus on St. Croix.
In light of the recent announcement of the Virgin Islands Higher Education Scholarship Program (VIHESP) coined as UVI "Free Tuition" Program, secondary students in our St. Croix public, private and parochial schools have been invited to attend this youth-centered conference covering Money and Financial Planning Matters; Social Media & Technology; Relationships and Professional Etiquette; Youth Bill of Rights and VI Youth Commission; and Education Matters.
Opportunities for students to learn more about UVI's academic and extracurricular programs will be shared alongside community nonprofit and profit organizations for students to explore internship, community service, and other engaging programs.
Pre-registration is required.
UVI community professionals are welcomed to share in these youth-centered discussions and planning workshops.
Additionally, elected and appointed leaders of the executive and legislative branches of government have been invited to share remarks and reflections on the VI Youth Commission and more.
