22nd Annual Eastern Caribbean Islands in Between Conference Planned for Oct. 31 – Nov. 2 on AAS Campus

The 22nd Annual Eastern Caribbean Islands in Between Conference is scheduled to be held on the Albert A. Sheen Campus on St. Croix, beginning on Thursday, Oct.31 through Saturday, Nov. 2, 2019. The conference will focus on cultures on the languages, literature, and cultures of the Eastern Caribbean and the greater Caribbean.

The Keynote speaker is Dr. George Franklin, who will deliver his message on Thursday, October 31, at 9 a.m. in the Great Hall. Other presentations will be held in the Evans Center (EVC) 401 and North West Wing (NWW) Rooms 102-103.

The conference is co-organized by Virgin Islands Caribbean Cultural Center (VICCC) at the University of the Virgin Islands, the University of Puerto Rico, Rio Piedras, and the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus, Barbados.

The entire UVI community and the wider Virgin Islands community are invited to this event which will enlighten you on the richness of the Caribbean and its cultures.
