The UVI Bucs beat out the University of Puerto Humanco 83-77 in the Liga Atlectica Interuniversitaria League at the University’s Sports and Fitness Center on Feb. 4. The Bucs Shadrach Earby and John Nunnally combined for 46 points. The Buccaneers played with only seven players but was instrumental with the extra help offensively from Earby who contributed to a three – pointer to begin the overtime period. Jabari Alexander contributed a three-pointer that reduced the deficit giving the Bucs the lead by seven points. Nunnally added 11 points and four assists in the first half which helped to keep the score close. The Buccaneers will travel to Puerto Rico to play their next two games when will they face Sacred Heart on Thursday, Feb. 9 and UMET on Friday, Feb. 10 before returning home on Feb. 18, to host Rio Piedras.
