The Virgin Islands Experimental Program to Stimulate Competitive Research (VI-EPSCoR) is pleased to announce this year’s 2016 Annual Conference, “Understanding Our Sea, Our World.” The Annual Conference will showcase Caribbean Research (coral reefs, oceanography, watershed, etc.), Education, and Outreach Activities happening in the USVI that impacts the greater Caribbean community. There will be a pre-conference Communication Workshop, led by Dan Agan and Joe Schreiber from Ninja Communications. The ability to communicate effectively—to communicate clearly, compellingly, and crisply—is central to professional success. Workshop alumni have successfully applied the skills, techniques, and discipline learned to securing major grant funding, influencing public policies, developing broad collaborations and partnerships, starting new businesses, enhancing classroom effectiveness, gaining widespread media recognition, and landing new jobs. Come join us. Space is limited, so please pre-register online or by calling 340-693-1422.
This is a free event for anyone interested in learning about the work conducted by UVI researchers in partnership with UVI.
