The St. Croix Community can look forward to a special treat on Friday, Oct. 30, when the University of the Virgin Islands Jazz Ensemble, under the director of Valrica Byrson, performs at “Jazz in the Park” in Christiansted. UVI’s Jazz Ensemble, from the Albert A. Sheen Campus, will perform many memorable tunes at the event. Jazz in the Park will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Oct. 30, at the bandstand on the lawn at Fort Christianvaern in downtown Christiansted. Admission is free. Music lovers are encourage to lounge on the lawn and enjoy an evening listening to local and international jazz musicians. The event is hosted by Community Music, Inc.
