UVI President’s State of the University Address Set for Aug. 21

UVI President Dr. David Hall will deliver the President’s State of the University Address, which was formerly known as his annual convocation address, on Friday, Aug. 21, at 9 a.m. Dr. Hall will focus on what it means to the University of the Virgin Islands to be on the cusp of greatness. President Hall will also discuss key initiatives launched this year, challenges that the University is facing, some exciting new developments and what we all can look forward to in the new fiscal year.  After his remarks, the floor will be opened for any questions.

The President’s State of the University Address will be available via videoconference in the following locations:

  • St. Thomas:     Administration and Conference Center Building (ACC 142, 146); Chase Auditorium (B-110)
  • St. Croix:         Melvin Evans Center, Room EVC 401; the Great Hall 
  • St. John:          St. John Academic Center (STJAC 101)

The President’s annual Fall Address brings the entire University community together to celebrate the start of a new academic year and welcome our new faculty, staff and students. Immediately following the President’s State of the University Address, Provost Camille McKayle will host the Faculty Address at 10:30a.m. via teleconference between the Administration and Conference Center, first-floor conference room, and Melvin Evans Center, room EVC 401.
