First-year students have until Sept. 28, to complete the Interfaith Diversity Experiences and Attitudes Longitudinal Survey (IDEALS).
The Office of Institutional Research and Planning is partnering with researchers at North Carolina State University, New York University and Interfaith Core, to administer IDEALS. The survey is being administered to all first-year and first academic term students at UVI. First-year students should check email for their invitation to take the on-line survey. The last day to take this survey is Monday, Sept. 28, 2015. Participating students will receive a $5 gift.
IDEALS measures the impact of college on student knowledge of and appreciation for other religious, spiritual, and non-religious worldviews. IDEALS will be administered at approximately 140 campuses nationwide, comprising a diverse and representative sample of colleges and universities. As part of the four-year survey administration, campuses will administer the instrument to students during their first and fourth years.
