11th Voices That Count Conference Set by VIUCEDD for St. Croix and St. Thomas

The 11th annual Voices That Count Conference entitled “VIUCEDD: 20 Years of Empowering People with Disabilities,” will offer sessions in late October on St. Croix and St. Thomas. The conference brings individuals with disabilities, family members, service providers, advocates and candidates for political office together to discuss issues that affect people with disabilities and promote systemic change.

It will be hosted by the Virgin Islands University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities (VIUCEDD) at UVI’s campuses on St. Croix and St. Thomas. On St. Croix, Voices That Count will take place in the Great Hall on Oct. 23 to 24. The St. Thomas session will be in the Administration and Conference Center on Oct. 28 to 29. All sessions run from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. There is no fee for the event, but space is limited and advance registration is required. To register online visit: http://events.viucedd.org.
