VIUCEDD to Mark 20th Anniversary; Open Houses, Technology Demos Set on St. Croix, St. Thomas,

In celebration of its 20th anniversary, the Virgin Islands University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities (VIUCEDD) will host open house sessions and assistive technology demonstrations on St. Croix on Wednesday, Nov. 19, and on St. Thomas on Thursday, Nov. 20. The St. Croix session takes place at the VIUCEDD office across from Spicy Grill near the University of the Virgin Islands St. Croix Campus. The venue on St. Thomas will be Room T-114 of the Education Building on the St. Thomas Campus. Both sessions will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The entire Virgin Islands community is invited to attend.

Joann Becker of the Perkins School for the Blind will be onsite to provide information, evaluation, assessment and demonstration of the Deaf-Blind Equipment Distribution Program. Dr. Kimberly Mills, a doctorial level Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA-D), who recently joined VIUCEDD, will be available to discuss new services that will be offered  to individuals with autism and other disabilities.
