The first-ever "X Factor UVI Style" competition for UVI students, with a first place prize of $1,000, is planned for 8 p.m. on Friday, April 25, in the UVI Dining Pavilion on the St. Thomas Campus. Hosted by the Student Activities Department in collaboration with the Student Government Association, the competition invites participants/performers to prepare and perform three songs of their choice. A panel of five judges will provide feedback, along with that from the audience, and decide which competitors advance through the competition’s three rounds. A prize of $500 will go to the second-place finisher, with an iPad Mini awarded for third place. The registration fee is $10 per participant.
