UVI’s Caribbean Exploratory Research Center (CERC) and the School of Nursing will hold the seventh annual CERC Health Disparities Institute from Oct. 8-10, 2014, at Frenchman’s Reef and Morning Star Marriott Beach Resort on St. Thomas. This year’s theme is “A 20/20 Vision for Addressing and Eliminating Health Disparities in Special and Vulnerable Populations in the U.S. Virgin Islands and Beyond.” Included in the special and vulnerable populations focus will be males in the U.S.V.I. and wider Caribbean, persons living with disabilities, women of color, children of color, and economically disadvantaged children.

The annual institute provides an opportunity for CERC to showcase the work of the center, as well as to promote effective methods, share results from studies, and learn from best practices in the field.
