All UVI students, faculty and staff are invited to attend and participate in the 2014 Annual Career and Law Enforcement Recruitment Fair scheduled for 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesday, April 2. The event takes place in UVI’s Great Hall on the Albert A. Sheen Campus on St. Croix. Some 35 businesses and agencies have confirmed attendance for this event.
Business representatives will be on hand to share information on the exciting opportunities they have to offer. Participating businesses and agencies represent the following fields: business, education, banking, insurance, law enforcement, hotel and tourism, healthcare, management, social services, federal and local government, military, and trucking and transportation. The day, hosted by UVI’s Counseling and Career Services Office, will also provide a valuable opportunity to network with key members of the community. It is designed to help individuals increase their marketability, to discuss potential employment and internship opportunities, and gain insight into specific fields of study.
The Counseling and Career Services Office is also seeking volunteers for the Career Fair who can work between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. Interested individuals can sign-up in the Counseling & Career Services lobby area on the 700 Level of Evans Center, or send an email to alord@uvi.edu or studentemploymentstx@myuvi.net, to indicate availability.
