Breast cancer awareness will be the theme of a week of activities from Oct. 13 to 17 on UVI’s Albert A. Sheen Campus on St. Croix. One highlight will be a march supporting breast cancer awareness planned to begin at noon on Monday, Oct. 13. The march will begin and end at the UVI Pavilion at the end of Palm Drive. The general public, as well as all UVI faculty, staff, students and alumni, are encouraged to participate. A program will follow the march. Tuesday, Oct. 14, is designated Pink Shoes Day. A demonstration of how to conduct breast self exams takes place at the Pavilion from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 15, is pink hair day. A presentation on how to meditate for wellness will be hosted by the Center for the Study of Spirituality and Professionalism at 11:30 a.m. at the Pavilion. Thursday, Oct. 16, is pink shirt or tie day. Friday, Oct. 17, is designated pink everything day. A pink party begins at noon at the Pavilion.
