UVI's Caribbean Green Technology Center (CGTC) will host a two-day workshop on Oct. 23-24, on the Albert A. Sheen Campus on St. Croix. It will take place form Research Building Room 133 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. The workshop will introduce teachers to the science behind renewable energy, and provide the knowledge, tools and confidence they need to incorporate renewable energy science into their classroom curricula. It will explore forms of energy, sources of energy, and energy transformations through activities, demonstrations and discussion. CGTC research indicates that more than 80 percent of participating teachers successfully bring renewable energy science into their classrooms.
