Reichhold Center Presents Off-Broadway’s “Black Angles Over Tuskegee” Saturday, Nov. 9

The hit off-Broadway play "Black Angels Over Tuskegee" will be presented at 8 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 9, at UVI's Reichhold Center for the Arts. Described by The New York Times as "uplifting and inspirational and “tough to resist," the play is the story of six men embarking upon a journey to become pilots in the U.S. Army Air Force in WWII. The Reichhold production showcases a very special ensemble featuring Lamman Rucker, best known for his authentic and moving performances in Tyler Perry's "Why Did I Get Married?" film series. The play explores their collective struggle with Jim Crow; challenging their intelligence, patriotism, brotherhood, and dreams of an inclusive and fair society. The play goes beyond the headlines of popular stories and reveals the heart and soul of the Tuskegee Airmen who exhibited courage to excel, in spite of all the overwhelming odds against them.

Tickets are available from the UVI Box Office, by calling (340) 693-1559, or online at www.reichholdcenter.com
