CES 4-H 2013 Summer Academies on St. Croix and St. Thomas to Open July 1; Register Now

UVI's Cooperative Extension Service will offer its annual summer camp for young people ages five to 14 on St. Croix and St. Thomas beginning in July. Known as the 4-H/Family and Consumer Sciences Program's 4-H Summer Academy, session will run for five weeks, from July 1 to August 1. The 2013 theme is “Celebrating the Past, Creating the Future.” The camps will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Mondays through Fridays.

The fee is $200 for the first child in a family, and $150 for each additional child in the same family. Registration will be held beginning at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 29, at the Cooperative Extension Service located in Room 133 of the Research and Extension Center on the Albert A. Sheen Campus on St. Croix and in the New House Building on the St. Thomas campus. Parents and guardians must bring birth certificates and immunization cards for each child to be registered. Children must be five years of age before July 1. Admission will be on a first-come, first-served basis. There is a special rate for children of UVI employees.
