2013 University Bound Program Hosting 50 High School Students at UVI This Summer
UVI's 2013 University Bound Program runs from June 23 through July 19, on UVI's Albert A. Sheen and St. Thomas campuses. A total of approximately 50 students are expected to participate in this summer's residential component of the program, with students staying in UVI's residence halls. Formerly known as the Upward Bound Program, University Bound provides students with academic instruction, individual and small group tutorials and counseling, college admissions information, and cultural, social and recreational activities. The new name reflects a change in the program's funding source. Originally funded by the U.S. Department of Education, University Bound is now locally funded through the Virgin Islands Legislature.
