UVI’s Buccaneers men’s soccer team battled the LAI League’s third-place UPR-Mayaguez to a 2-2 tie on Sunday, Oct. 20. Thiago Samparo and Denny Smith scored for the Bucs. This followed a 6-0 loss to Turabo University on Oct. 18. The Bucs are now in 10th place in the league, with a record of two wins, six losses and four ties.
The squad finishes out the regular season schedule with matchups against Caribbean University on Friday, Oct. 25, and a match at Sacred Heart University on Sunday, Oct. 27.
