Auditions Open Today for Next UVI Theatre Production: ‘Bus Stop, with Caribbean Seasoning’
Auditions for the next UVI Theatre production are underway beginning today (Sept. 16) and continuing through Wednesday, Sept. 18, in the UVI Little Theatre located in the CA Building on the St. Thomas Campus. Audition times are 6 to 9 p.m. “Bus Stop, with Caribbean Seasoning,” by William Inge and adapted by the director, Dr. Doug Larche, is scheduled to be staged Oct. 25-26, and Nov. 1-3. Five male and three female actors are needed. Interested persons should be prepared to tell a joke, read a short poem, wait tables, do a Puerto Rican or Southern U.S. accent, sing a little, dance a little, play a guitar if you can, read lines from the show and do a little relational improvisation.
The production also needs builders, painters, makeup/hair artists, lighting/sound designers, costumers, stagehands, publicity people, a stage manager, an assistant director and a technical director.
