The University of the Virgin Islands Board of Trustees will meet at 9 a.m. on Saturday, June 18, via Zoom. The meeting will be called to order and will continue with the election of officers. A slate of candidates for the positions of chair and vice chair has been developed and will be presented to the Board for their deliberation and action.
The meeting will continue with regular session agenda items. UVI President Dr. David Hall will present the President’s Report followed by Board Chairman Henry Smock with the Chairman’s Comments. The Board will then consider other agenda items.
The Academic, Research, Student Affairs Committee (ARSA) will make presentations and take action on a new Bachelor of Science Degree Program in Horticulture and a new Bachelor of Science Degree Program in Aquaponics. The ARSA Committee will also hear a presentation and take action on New Academic Majors in Dance, Music Performance and Theatre.
The Governance Committee will present a Report on Board Assessment for Board discussion.
Then the Planning Committee will make a presentation on UVI’s key performance indicators.
The Board will go into executive session and will report any actions taken in executive session before being adjourned.
