University of the Virgin Islands (UVI) President Dr. David Hall convened a Virtual Town Hall Meeting on Friday July 9, at 3 p.m, to address concerns over the Mandatory COVID-19 Vaccination Requirement and to take questions from the collective UVI community.
Dr. Hall shared the reasoning of the Board of Trustees’ decision to implement the vaccine requirement for faculty, staff and students. Assisting Dr. Hall with answering questions were Dr. Camille McKayle, provost and vice president of Academic Affairs, Valena Veda Richards, director of Employee Benefits and Immigration Services and Ron Meek, director of Human Resources and Organizational Development.
Dr. Hall announced that UVI will be working with the Department of Health to provide access to the vaccine for the UVI community by way of mobile vaccination vans on both campuses from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Mondays and Fridays, starting Monday 12.
