Dr. Marilyn Brandt, research associate professor of marine and environmental science at UVI, will join marine biologist and National Geographic explorer-in-residence Dr. Sylvia Earle and marine microbial ecologist Dr. Amy Apprill in a virtual webinar titled “Coral in Crisis: How scientists are racing to stop a deadly disease” from 7:30 - 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 3, 2020.
Dr. Brandt is one of three panelists invited to discuss their research and studies on an invasive coral disease that has been killing corals near Florida and the US Virgin Islands at an unprecedented rate.
