The Emerging Caribbean Scientists (ECS) Program and the College of Science and Mathematics at the University of the Virgin Islands invites the community to the 17th Annual Summer Student Research Symposium.
The Symposium will take place from 10 am to noon on Friday, Aug. 2, 2019 in the Ralph Paiewonksy Library on the St. Thomas Campus.
The Symposium will feature more than 40 current UVI student researchers. The students will present scientific posters to showcase their summer research projects that were conducted under the mentorship of UVI faculty. The research projects involve a variety of subjects including Astrophysics, Marine Biology, Psychology, Chemistry, Statistics and Computer Science, just to name a few.
Civic organizations, summer youth camps, and the general public are highly encouraged to attend to learn more about research taking place at UVI.
