Residents of the Virgin Islands are asked to take part in the great Virgin Islands Frog Count to help the University of the Virgin Islands researchers understand the distribution of frogs around the Territory.
Frogs are important in our ecosystems as they help to eat those annoying insects that we do not want in our homes, such as mosquitoes.
The participation is simple: up until Oct. 15, you can go outside between the hours of 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and get a two-minute audio recording using your mobile device.
Your voice recording should be emailed to vi.frogcount@gmail.com along with the coordinates of your location.
