The Office of Dean of Students - St. Croix Invites you to Attend Black History Month Talk: "Vicarious Experiences"

The University of the Virgin Islands’ Office of the Dean of Students is proud to announce, and invite, interested UVI Students, Faculty, and Staff to attend our Black History Month Talk: "Vicarious Experiences."

This event will be held from 11 a.m. – 12 noon on Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2018, in the Evans Center Theater (EVC 401) at the Albert A. Sheen Campus on St. Croix.  This lecture features guest speaker Marcel Galiber II.

Marcel L. Galiber, II is a native son of St. Croix, Virgin Islands and an aspiring public speaker. He is a Roanoke College graduate who holds two Bachelor of Arts degrees in Spanish and Music.  He is currently employed as a teacher of Spanish at the St. Joseph Catholic High School on St. Croix.

In addition to language and the arts, he spends much of his time studying the answers people have given to life’s most basic questions. Why are we here? What are we supposed to do while we are here? How exactly does one do something with their life? Is there a point to doing something with your life?
