Through the EARTH Program, the University of the Virgin Islands interns will live, work, and provide service for the local St. John community. Interns will assist with EARTH gardens to grow to produce for use in nutrition programs, local soup kitchens, and extension programs. They will also have the opportunity to assist with EARTH, environmental science, and culinary arts seminars to create learning opportunities for Virgin Islands residents.
The EARTH Program encourages students with an interest in the environment, agronomy, horticulture, or culinary science to apply.
Program Highlights:
• $2,000 stipend for University of Virgin Island student
• Housing and transportation on St. John provided
• Live and work with students from Iowa State University during the six-week internship
