The Afternoon on the Green planning committee is seeking cooks to donate their culinary creations for the 2018 Afternoon on the Green – “Relief and Recovery on the Green for 2018.” Now in its 29th year, UVI’s annual “friend-raiser,” features fabulous dishes, live music, and family fun.
Prizes will be given to the top three winners in each category which are Main Dishes: Seafood, Soups, Side Dishes: Breads, Pastries and Sweets, Native Drinks and for the first time the Vegetarian Dishes category.
Cooks interested in participating must contact Cherilyn Browne at (340) 693-1040 or send an e-mail to cbrowne@live.uvi.edu by Monday, April 11, to confirm their donated dishes. All proceeds from the Afternoon on the Green support the Edward Thomas Volunteer Scholarship Fund.
The Afternoon on the Green will be held from noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday, April 15, on UVI’s St. Thomas Campus.
