Agriculture Enrichment Summer Camp Applications Available

Applications are now available at the UVI Cooperative Extension Service office for the 3rd Annual Agriculture Enrichment Summer Camp. Parents are invited to contact the UVI Cooperative Extension Service (UVICES) office if their 14-17 year old is interested in spending the summer learning about agriculture and related fields.

The four-week program is a collaboration between UVICES along with the Department of Human Services Vocational Rehabilitation Program, the Department of Labor Summer Youth Work Experience and Training Program and The Virgin Islands University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities (VIUCEDD). The Agriculture Enrichment Summer Camp (AESC) is designed to create awareness in the importance of the agricultural industry and related career opportunities. Youth participate in guest presentations, hands-on exercises, and field trips. They also learn social skills and sensitivity training for interacting with those who have special abilities through games and other activities.
