The Virgin Islands Water Resources Research Institute (VI-WRRI) at the University of the Virgin Islands is pleased to issue its 2017 Call for Proposals for U.S. Geological Survey 104(b) Water Institute Program funds. Approximately $70,000 is available to fund projects in the U.S. Virgin Islands. Proposals in the $10-$20,000 range that advance water-related science that is strongly linked to community needs, with strong training and outreach potential are preferred. All faculty and staff of the University of the Virgin Islands are eligible to apply. Collaborations with non-UVI personnel are allowed and encouraged. Projects will be for a duration of one year with a start date of March 1, 2017 and an end date of Feb. 28, 2018. Proposals are due by 5pm EST, Friday, Nov. 18, 2016.
