The University of the Virgin Islands Albert A. Sheen Campus welcomes Dr. Ellie DelGiacco, the newly hired campus physician, to the Health Services Center and the Division of Student Affairs team. Dr. DelGiacco will be available for medical clinics on Fridays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Health Services Center. Originally from upstate New York, Dr. DelGiacco completed a fellowship in medical oncology and hematology in Philadelphia and an internal medicine residency at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City. She has a medical degree from Kansas City University of Medicine and experience in clinical research obtained at the National Institutes of Health. Her undergraduate degree is in neuroscience from the University of Rochester. She is an internal medicine physician who specializes in blood disorders and cancers and sees patients at both Virgin Islands Oncology and Hematology and at Gov. Juan F. Luis Hospital. The Health Services Center and the Division of Student Affairs thanks the Student Government Association for their active role in this endeavor.
