The Innovation Policy Forum of the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine will host a symposium on Growing the Caribbean Innovation Economy on Sept. 15, in Washington, D.C.
Dr. Gillian Marcelle, executive director of the UVI RT Park will make her presentation as part of Panel IV, Fostering Innovation Ecosystems. She will present on Growing an Innovation Ecosystem in the U.S. Virgin Islands. This symposium will draw together leading experts to discuss policies, programs, and other public and private initiatives to develop the Caribbean’s science and technology networks, encourage entrepreneurship, and foster regional development.
Participants from the Caribbean and the United States will explore how to stimulate effective connections among financers and entrepreneurs, universities and private firms, and public agencies and civic organizations in order to further broad-based, innovation-led growth across the Caribbean.
