Racial Profiling Forum Scheduled for March 29

The community is invited to attend a Racial Profiling Forum from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 29, in the Administration and Conference Center, in the first - floor conference room, on the St. Thomas Campus. The event will be video-conferenced to the Great Hall on the Albert A. Sheen Campus in St. Croix.

Featured panelists include:

  • Professor William Curtis
  • Dr. Chenzira Davis-Kahina
  • Dr. Malik Sekou

The purpose of the forum is to have a conversation among students, faculty, staff and persons in the community to discuss if racial profiling is a problem in the Caribbean. The panelists will also discuss the impact that race, religion, ethnicity, and national origin have on racial profiling. 

This event is sponsored by the Counseling and Career Services Department, UVI Substance Abuse and HIV/AIDS Prevention Program, the Advocates for Mental Health Program, and the Psychology Student Association.
